Parenting Resources

From time to time we will post articles or recommend books or links that have to do with parenting middle school-age children.  Our goal is not to tell you how to parent, but to offer insight others have shared on the topic.  Just like at a buffet, feel free to skip it altogether, snack selectively, or gobble as much as you like.  We're hoping that maybe, just maybe, a bright idea or two may come your way.

From our perspective, all members the GA community are teaching and learning, so we humbly offer posts like this one in that spirit.  There are lots of great suggestions and ideas out there and from time to time something might "click" for you.  Additionally, know that the articles and recommendations may also be helpful resources to forward to other parents you know who may appreciate information on a particular issue.

SchoolFamily.com provides interesting "quick-read" articles for parents.  Listed below are links to several of their articles.  I hope you find something there of interest.

And for those of you who want to know how to find out more about what goes on at school--other than, "nothing"--check out this article:

If you come across any resources that have been particularly helpful to you, please send them along and we'll share them.
